MALARIA FREE SAFARI

At Bantu Safaris, we understand that your health is very important to you while on Safari. Malaria is a non-contagious Mosquito-borne tropical disease, that is prevalent in the Kruger, Chobe, Victoria Falls and Hwange Safari destinations. Malaria Prophylaxis is a must for these destinations.

However the Eastern and Western Cape are malaria free and here, we also offer authentic Big 5 Wildlife Safaris.

For your piece of mind, a Malaria Free Safari is the perfect tour when you are travelling with children whose exposure to this risk, though minimal, must be avoided.

With us, You won’t be rushed from one game viewing spot to another. Rather, our knowledgeable, expert guides will take you on a smooth unraveling discovery of Africa’s finest wildlife frontiers.

The Malaria Free Safari is a mosaic of experiences. Its not just jumping on to the Safari Truck and heading for the bush. Its more about finding those Malaria Free National Park with the highest sighting chances. Its more about booking Safari Camps with impeccable service and facilities. Its more about letting Bantu Safaris take care of your itinerary from the time you arrive until your trip is, sadly, over.

♥ TRAVEL TIPS

  • To really enjoy a Big 5 Safari, let your eyes take all the pictures and the camera a few for memories – pack (and leave) your mobile devices at the very bottom of your luggage.
  • Pack Safari Colour clothing – biege, khakhi, brown, army green, white – and light but ‘tough’ boots for Safari Walks.
  • Be adventurous, bold and calm whilst on Safari. Always listen to your Guide, be attentive and enjoy your surroundings as you are now part of the habitat.
  • Don’t rush – we advise at least three nights per national park/ safari camp – never mind the days, enjoy every bit of the experience, you will certainly be back soon .
  • Do combine a couple of national parks/safari camps, you get to see different habitats and experience more of Southern Africa.
  • If you are afraid of mosquitoes, it’s very easy to arrange a Malaria Free Big 5 Safari in Malaria Free Areas like the Eastern Cape.
  • A few nights on the beach complement a family safari perfectly.
  • Make sure you have a pair of binoculars each.
  • Take sunhats, sun-block and pack a fleece / windproof too – Africa can be colder than you might expect.
