When you make an enquiry with Bantu Safaris through our website, over the telephone, or in person, we collect information from you which include your full name, email address, telephone number and details about the holiday you wish to go on. We need this information to process your quotation and/or booking. We will not subscribe you to our email newsletters unless you consent. During the enquiry process your name may be shared with suppliers in order to hold rooms and or keep spaces on Tours/Transfers for you
We will collect certain technical information about you when you visit our website. This is likely to include: the internet domain you use, your IP address or other device identifier, your browser type and version (e.g. Chrome or Internet Explorer), the operating system and platform that you are using (e.g. Windows or Mac), the screen resolution of your device, the dates and times when you access our website, the full URLs of the pages you visit and the websites or links that you use to access our website, login information, details of products or services that are viewed and the length of visits to certain pages of the website.

What Specific Information Do We Collect
When you book with Bantu Safaris, you will need to complete an online or emailed booking form. This form collects information on you, and any others travelling on your booking, including, but not limited to:

Nationality

Emergency contact details
Your bank details and payment card details when making a booking with us
Identification documents: If you are travelling on a route requiring advance passenger information, your passport or identity card details including your passport number, the country in which your passport was issued and the expiry date.
Details about your booking with us: Details such as where you are flying from and to, your booking information (including anyone else on the booking), any onward travel details if relevant, details of experiences or excursions booked through us, baggage requirements, upgrade information, lounge visits, seat preferences, meal preferences or requirements, details of any special assistances required and any other relevant information so that we can provide you with the travel or other service you have arranged with us.
Your use of our systems and services: This includes how you use our site, app, retails stores, call centres and/or social media pages, IP addresses and information you may post on social media.
Data about your health, knowing your dietary requirements and any medical conditions you have will ensure that the trip is suitable for you and any necessary adjustments are made.
P.S We try to limit any sensitive personal data we collect to the minimum possible. Unless we have a specific lawful reason to use this information, we will ask for your consent to collect it.

Safeguarding your personal information
We keep your personal information securely, and we only keep it for limited and appropriate amounts of time. Data security is of the utmost importance to us and we are committed to ensuring the information we collect from you is secure. All the information you give us is protected by a secure server. The secure server software SSL (Secure Socket Layers) encrypts all information you enter before it is sent to us. The information is only de-encrypted when it reaches our server. We also have a Firewall (security software) in place to protect our internal information from the Internet.
WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA
All information is kept securely and can only be accessed by the relevant employees of Bantu Safaris.
DATA RETENTION
Bantu Safaris will not keep data for longer than is necessary. Our data is regularly reviewed and removed when it is no longer relevant for the purpose it was collected, as explained in this Privacy Notice. We will ensure that it is disposed of in a secure manner. For bookings, we will hold your data for 7 years after collection in order to comply with UK HMRC rules. Where no booking is made, data will be removed no more than 2 years after collection.

COOKIES & GOOGLE
A cookie is a simple text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device by a website’s server and only that server will be able to retrieve or read the contents of that cookie. In order to offer a quality service for customers and a better user experience on our website, Bantu Safaris collects certain information about visitors to its website using cookies. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.
Third parties, including Google, show Bantu Safaris adverts on sites around the internet and use cookies to serve these adverts based on a user’s previous visits to our website. This is Google remarketing; you can edit your preferences or turn this off here.
We also use Google Analytics to measure and collect website session information, length of visits to certain pages, repeat visits and page interaction information.
